I heard a Utah Phillips special on the radio while out in the yard the other day, but it is clear that I have not been following current events enough... it took me three days to realize that he had passed away. Here's some videos in memorium:
I recently got a chance to see the premiere of a new piece of great HD agit-prop at a bar in Brooklyn put on by the Glass Bead Collective. It documents the recent protests against police brutality and blatant injustice that sprung up around the murdering of Sean Bell. The movie is good stuff as usual, from GBC.
