We have created a mini-herb spiral (approximately 1 yd in diameter). Herb spirals are meant to increase planatble area while creating a differential of soil dampness - which allows for herbs which prefer different conditions to co-habitate - all within a small area. Most of the info out there calls for herb sprials about twce this size... so ours is a mini!
BUILDING SEQUENCE
For the planting area, we alternated layers of fresh yard waste (leaves & sawdust) , composted food waste, and storebought soil mix.
