This weekend was pretty good. I went to New York City to help shoot (videotape) Jeff Stark's mobile play IRT. The plot of the play is centered around the conception and construction of the first subway line in NYC by the IRT - Interborough Rapid Transit Company. Though the plot structure of the play is fairly simple and straight, the logistics of performing a multi-scente play in many traincars and stations with a moving audience of approximate 30 people was a feat to say the least. I was highly impressed (and super tired after shooting!).
But, on my way down to the city I tagged along with Keith to a lecture series at the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. There I saw Dave Jacke - who wrote the book, literally - on Edible Forest Gardens. I had seen Dave talk and was familiar with his stuff, but the next speaker blew my mind a bit. Paul Stamets. I felt luck to see him speak in person. He was a TED speaker recently, and I would recommend checking him out HERE.
Then finally, I finished reading the book Inverted World, which I found totally intriguing. great story. scifi classic. yea.
